25 Steps Miracle!

Hello Precious One!

Look at this beautiful Lenten colored sky! I had never seen a lavender sunrise and I thought it is a beautiful reminder that Lent is coming this Ash Wednesday!

I have heard so many amazing stories that it is hard to choose the one to write about, but when Betty decided to start a group after hearing me speak several years ago in Philadelphia, she wanted to lose weight. Betty has lost weight (30 pounds I think) but much has happened in her group that she could never have dreamed when she started it.

Her group has experienced serious weight-loss in members, helped support members going through extremely difficult knee replacements and back surgery; both those women said they did not know what they would have done without their group. They have been there for a member going through a difficult lawsuit and another member who converted to the Catholic faith, who then got on fire for it through Light Weigh One King. They have done a small donation drive in their group and given the money to those who are in need during the holidays. Betty’s group has been there to pray and sacrifice for multiple families in the area with children going through severe health difficulties.

And now another miracle has occurred which many of you have prayed and sacrificed for too – Millie who is a member of Betty’s group and came with Betty and several others to hear me speak at St. Cyril’s last fall, was hit by a tragedy. Millie’s husband was trimming one of their trees, when he fell. Millie was devastated, as the doctor told her “Ray will never walk again.” Betty was there with her in the hospital and the group supported her with prayer, sacrifice, food and emotional support. It is an understatement to say “they have been there for Millie” in the way of the best, most faithful friends. I just received an email from Betty telling me of an absolute miracle that has taken place!

Dear Suzanne and Light Weigh,

I would like to thank you for all the prayers and sacrifices for Ray and Millie. Ray walked 25 feet at the rehab before he was discharged! The doctor says it’s a miracle that he can move his legs and get up and walk! She didn’t expect him to be able to do either. Ray is home now, and Millie is taking care of him with alot of help from neighbors, our Light Weigh group, and our parish community. He will continue therapy at home for awhile, then do outpatient therapy. He has a long way to go, but is determined to get out of the wheel chair and walk. As you can imagine, there are good days and bad days, and it’s a struggle. Millie and our Light Weigh One King group are praying and sacrificing greatly. Millie is offering her sacrifices for Ray. She is being challenged in many ways. Please continue to pray for Millie and Ray. Thank you.

Also, the boy, Jared, that we have been praying for had some medical issues this past week. With prayers and sacrifices, he is back home and doing fairly well. Please keep the prayers and sacrifices coming for him, also.

Thank you for all you do. Have a great week.

God bless,

Betty

You never know how God is going to use your group in your life and the lives of others. The only thing you know for sure – if you never start or join a group nothing that could have happened there will happen there.

Seize the opportunity of Lent & the early spring and start, restart or recommit to your Light Weigh One King or Light Weigh group today!

Please keep praying and sacrificing for Millie & Ray and everyone on our prayer and sacrifice list, including those trying to start or maintain a Light Weigh group.

Yours In Christ The Risen Lord!

Suzanne
